ARTWORK & ORIGINALS
Are all DAVIA artworks original? Yes. Every original artwork is hand-painted by Mekayla Mullings, the artist behind DAVIA. Each piece is created individually, making every original artwork one of a kind.
Do original paintings come with a Certificate of Authenticity? Yes. Every original DAVIA artwork comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity confirming the artwork's title, medium, size, year, and unique artwork ID.
What mediums do you use? DAVIA primarily works with acrylic, while also exploring mixed media. Depending on the artwork, additional materials such as fabric, beads, and other textured elements may be incorporated.
Are your paintings signed? Yes. Original artworks are signed by the artist and accompanied by their Certificate of Authenticity.
Will the artwork look exactly like the photos online? Every effort is made to photograph artwork as accurately as possible. However, colors may appear slightly different depending on lighting, photography, and your screen settings. Since each original is handmade, the texture and details are best appreciated in person.
SHOPPING & ORDERS
How do I purchase an artwork? Available original artworks and prints can be purchased directly through the DAVIA online shop. Simply select the piece you'd like and follow the checkout process.
Are artworks available internationally? DAVIA is based in Jamaica and welcomes collectors from near and far. Shipping availability and rates may vary depending on your location.
Can I reserve an artwork? Because original artworks are one of a kind, pieces cannot be guaranteed until payment has been completed. If you're interested in an artwork, reach out before purchasing and we'll be happy to discuss availability.
What payment methods do you accept? Available payment methods are displayed at checkout. If you have a question about payment options, feel free to contact us before placing your order.
Can I purchase prints of sold-out originals? Some artworks may become available as prints after the original has sold, while others may remain exclusive to the original. Follow DAVIA or join the mailing list to hear about new releases and print availability.
COMMISSIONS
Do you accept custom artwork commissions? Yes. DAVIA accepts a limited number of commissions for collectors who would like to create something personal and meaningful.
What types of artwork can I commission? Commissions can include portraits, landscapes, meaningful places, special moments, and other original concepts. If you have an idea that doesn't fit neatly into a category, you're still welcome to reach out.
How much does a commission cost? Commission pricing depends on factors such as the size, medium, complexity, and level of detail involved. After discussing your idea, you'll receive a custom quote.
How long does a commission take? Most commissions take approximately 2–6 weeks, depending on the size and complexity of the artwork. Your timeline will be discussed before the commission begins.
Can I request a specific size or color palette? Absolutely. Size, color palette, mood, subject matter, and meaningful details can all be discussed during the commission process.
How do I start a commission? Start by completing the Commission Inquiry Form. Share as much as you can about your idea, including your preferred size, colors, inspiration, and timeline. From there, we'll discuss your vision and determine the best way to bring it to life.
SHIPPING & DELIVERY
Where do you ship? DAVIA ships from Jamaica. Shipping availability depends on the destination and the type of artwork being purchased.
How are artworks packaged? Every artwork is carefully prepared and packaged with protection in mind. Original pieces are handled with care to help ensure they arrive safely at their destination.
How long does shipping take? Shipping times vary depending on your destination, the artwork, and the shipping method selected. You will receive the applicable shipping information when placing your order.
Are customs fees included? International orders may be subject to customs duties, taxes, or other fees imposed by the destination country. These charges are the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise stated at checkout.
Will I receive tracking information? When tracking is available for your order, tracking details will be provided once your package has been shipped.
Can I arrange local pickup? Yes, local pickup may be available in Jamaica for eligible orders. Please contact DAVIA before purchasing if you'd like to discuss a pickup arrangement.

How should I care for my painting? Keep your artwork in a clean, dry environment and handle it carefully. Avoid touching the painted surface unnecessarily and gently dust the frame or surrounding areas with a soft, dry cloth.
Where should I display my artwork? Choose a space where the artwork can be enjoyed while avoiding excessive moisture, heat, or direct sunlight. A stable indoor environment is ideal.
Should my painting be framed? Framing is a personal choice and depends on the artwork and your preferred aesthetic. Some pieces are designed to be displayed unframed, while others may benefit from framing.
How should I protect my artwork from sunlight and humidity? Avoid placing original artwork in prolonged direct sunlight or areas with high humidity. These conditions can affect colors and materials over time. For the best longevity, display your piece in a cool, stable indoor environment.
